I guess I chose the right summer to go to Europe because — without a whole lot of planning — I’ve been able to meet up with friends a few times. This time I met up with Adler and Anna, two friends from high school.

They’d planned three days of museum hoping in Florence and I was happy to not be responsible for any planning for a few days. I managed to book a hostel two blocks away from their hotel and met them at noon outside of it. We wandered from museum to museum, church to church. Florence — at least the touristy area — is tiny.

After a few museums, we were art-ed and history-ed out and found a restaurant Karen (Adler’s mom) said we had to go to. It was delicious (thanks Karen!).
