Finding out that Nice was in the mountains was great, hiking in them was better.
Hiking in British Columbia involves a lot of really big evergreen trees and a lot of rain. Hiking in Nice — in the pre-Alps — is very different. Trees are thin and spread out and open fields and vistas dominant the landscape. The trail is dry and rocky.
We hike for a little before we find an open field with a few trees for our hammock and slack line.
